About

I have been a Windows user since 1995 and while there have been bumps along the way, it's always evenly come back around.

With Windows 11 however, things are different, so much so that its encourage many people including myself to finally look elsewhere.

The question of where to go lead me to the discovery of a brand called System76.

They offer products such as custom PC Cases, Keyboards and even their own custom versions of Linux which you can get preinstalled on their PC's.

All of it seems really nice, however their logo is a different story.

Given their name I had an idea for a symbol, an abstract combined "76" and wanted to see how it would actually look.

This is the result.

The general sentiment of Linux is rapidly changing from an OS that only tech enthusiasts can understand and use to something that the general consumer might use.

This shift in perception brings new opportunities for hardware and software providers such as System76, but to fully take advantage of this, they also need to look the part.

Currently, System76 has the appearance of predominantly catering to those who are more tech-savvy.

While catering to such is by no means a bad thing, having this appearance can limit growth, as such signals to potential customers who may be less tech-savvy that the products and services offered may be less user-friendly and harder for the general consumer to use.

This, among other reasons, is why I believe a new logo/branding would be beneficial.
